CANADA’S COASTAL GRIZZLIES

Where the Great Bear Rainforest meets Vancouver Island

KNIGHT INLET, BRITISH COLUMBIA

The coastal regions of central and northern British Columbia host the world’s second largest population of grizzly bears (North American Brown Bears), in addition to eagles, orcas, humpback whales and more incredible land and sea life. This ecological hot-spot is referred to as the Great Bear Rainforest. Foraging bears descend on the coastlines to eat mussels from around June until the salmon begin to spawn between August and October.
